Dr. Chris Hammond

Dr. Chris Hammond is a board certified Emergency Medicine Physician who works in multiple emergency departments around the southwest and pacific coast including Los Alamos and Santa Fe, NM and Redding, CA. Originally from Sierra Vista, AZ, Dr. Hammond received his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, IA, and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at the York Hospital Emergency Medicine program in York, PA. He attended undergrad at The University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ, where he received his BS in Molecular and Cell Biology.

Dr. Hammond has a variety of clinical interests. His passion is providing medical care in conflict areas where medical aid is not always available. He has participated in several international humanitarian initiatives, most recently in Iraq, Jamaica, and Ukraine. Dr Hammond currently serves as the medical director for the Air Methods air ambulance service and the Los Alamos Fire Department. In his free time, Chris enjoys, travel, snowboarding and mountain biking.
